October 2017: Australia and New Zealand’s largest holiday lifestyle program, Accor Vacation Club, has scooped awards across three major categories at the annual Australian Timeshare Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC) event, recently held on the Gold Coast.

Bradley Condor, General Manager of Accor Vacation Club’s Grand Mercure Puka Park property in New Zealand was named Resort General Manager of the Year.

The hotly contested Resort Performer of the Year award was presented to Accor Vacation Club’s Emily Jelich, who is a popular Guest Service Agent at The Sebel Palm Cove Coral Coast in Tropical North Queensland.

Accor Vacation Club’s CEO, Craig Wood, said he was thrilled with the recognition extended to his team members.

“People and great service are behind everything we do at Accor Vacation Club,” he said.  “We feel privileged to have had two of our most exceptional team members recognised, in categories we regard as integral to delivering a great product and sustained satisfaction for the Club’s loyal member base.

“I want to publicly congratulate them for their innovation and commitment, and acknowledge that in addition to being role models for our industry, their efforts are inherently tied to better business results and superior guest experiences.”

In an unprecedented gesture, Grand Mercure Basildene Manor’s Accor Vacation Club Apartments, located in Western Australia’s picturesque Margaret River region, received a Highly Commended nod in the competitive Resort of the Year category.

“This was an industry first, as it was very the first time a highly commended title was presented in the resort of the year category in the history of the ATHCOC awards,” explained Mr Wood. “Naturally, we are delighted that Accor Vacation Club’s very deserving Basildene Manor was the recipient of this prestigious accolade.”

The ATHOC annual awards program is committed to recognising outstanding talent in the timeshare and holiday ownership industry in Australia. Each year ATHOC members have the opportunity to nominate staff from vacation club organisations and operations in Australia Pacific, culminating in a prestigious industry awards night held in conjunction with the annual ATHOC Annual Conference.

The 2017 ATHOC awards coincide with Accor Vacation Club’s 17th anniversary, which is being celebrated this October across Australia and New Zealand.
